BACKGROUND:

MDOT is seeking public input on the future of the Crane Road bridge over I-75. As part of an upcoming I-75 reconstruction project, MDOT is considering options that include total bridge replacement (approximately $2,500,000) or potential bridge removal due to low traffic volumes. In the event the final decision is to remove the Crane Road bridge completely, a local road bridge (Venoy Road over the Goetz Drain) would be replaced to accommodate any changes in traffic patterns. The estimated cost for this option is approximately $836,000.

Interested residents, business owners and community representatives are invited to stop by anytime during this open house-style meeting to learn more and provide input. MDOT staff members will be available to answer questions.

The proposed project will enhance safety for motorists.
