Winston Road and bridge reconstruction

starts tomorrow in Oceana County

ESTIMATED END DATE:

Open to traffic in mid-November 2013.

Final completion in late May 2014.

PROJECT DETAILS:

Planned bridge improvements include deck replacement, approach and ramp reconstruction, expansion joint replacement, new barrier wall and painting. Winston Road will be reconstructed from 72nd Avenue to just east of the northbound US-31 ramps.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:

Winston Road will be closed over US-31 and detoured via 72nd Avenue, Webster Avenue and 80th Avenue. Single-lane closures will be used on US-31 during the week and removed on weekends. During bridge demolition, traffic will exit and re-enter US-31 using the off and on ramps. The northbound and southbound US-31 ramps will be closed separately for a period of five days during ramp reconstruction.
