M-55 detour east of Prudenville starts Sept. 15 for emergency culvert replacement

 

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be replacing two failing culverts beneath M-55 between Prudenville and I-75 in Roscommon County. This work will require a detour for through-traffic.

Traffic restrictions:

This work will require a detour for M-55 through-traffic on M-18 (Roscommon Road) and I-75 via Exit 239. Local access to residences and businesses will be maintained.

 

Safety benefit: This project involves replacing two culverts beneath the roadway that are failing, resulting in erosion of the road bed and roadside slopes.
