Reminder: MDOT, City of Detroit hosting community meeting Sept. 12 on US-12 (Michigan Avenue) project in Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the City of Detroit are hosting a public meeting on the planned improvements on US-12 (Michigan Avenue) in Detroit. The project involves rebuilding Michigan Avenue between I-96 and Campus Martius. Attendees can receive updates on the current design progress.

All are welcome.

 

When:

Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024

4:30 - 7 p.m.

Presentation begins promptly at 5:30 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session.

Project information:

The project involves rebuilding a 2-mile stretch of Michigan Avenue in Detroit. The project team will present updates on pedestrian, bicycle and transit improvements, streetscape enhancements, historical characteristics, and innovation. The public is encouraged to attend and provide feedback.

Comments can be submitted via an online comment form, e-mail, and in person at the public meeting. Provide your comments via email or U.S. Mail by Sept. 26, 2024, to:
