Revive275 project status update: I-275 between Will Carleton Road to 6 Mile Road in Wayne County

LIVONIA, Mich. - An update on the Revive275 project includes what is happening now:

Ramp closures:

In mid-October, there will be a two-day closure of the westbound Eureka Road ramp to southbound I-275 and the eastbound Eureka Road to northbound I-275 for concrete surface coating on the bridge railing.

By mid-November, northbound I-275 traffic should be shifted back onto the newly rebuilt I-275, although there will still be lane closures to remove the two-dozen median crossovers.

By mid-December, northbound and southbound I-275 traffic should be reopened to three lanes in each direction. In 2024, there will be a few weeks of work involving bridge epoxy overlays, permanent pavement markings, etc.

This work is part of the Revive275 project. Based on economic modeling, this $281 million investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 3,267 jobs. Project information can be found at Revive275.org.

Funding for this project is made possible by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's Rebuilding Michigan program to rebuild the state highways and bridges that are critical to the state's economy and carry the most traffic. The investment strategy is aimed at fixes that result in longer useful lives and improve the condition of the state's infrastructure.
