MDOT public meeting in Ann Arbor to discuss proposed
Michigan rail line safety improvements

Lansing, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a public meeting in Ann Arbor on safety improvements to prevent trespassing on the Michigan rail line, which carries Amtrak’s Wolverine passenger train service between Detroit/Pontiac and Chicago.

Project information:
The purpose of this project is to enhance pedestrian safety along the railroad corridor at locations known to have hazardous conditions. Enhancements could include fencing, special pavement marking, signs, anti-trespass panels, or other improvements. 

Public input:
In addition to the public meeting, comments can be submitted via an online comment form and e-mail. Provide your comments by Oct. 17.
