Northbound I-275 closing intermittently from Ann Arbor Road to 5 Mile Road for bridge work and traffic shift

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Beginning 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday, March 27, and Tuesday, March 28, northbound I-275 from Ann Arbor Road to 5 Mile Road will have one lane open for work at the I-96/M-14 interchange.

Also, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, northbound I-275 will be closed for multiple 15-minute periods from Ann Arbor Road to I-96/M-14 while crews add temporary bridge supports under I-275 and prepare for traffic shifts.

The Ann Arbor Road ramp to northbound I-275 and the Newburgh Road ramp to westbound I-96 will be closed intermittently from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Once the work is completed, northbound I-275 will return to two lanes open although the lanes will be separated within the work zone. The Ann Arbor Road and Newburgh Road ramps will reopen. The Newburgh Road ramp to westbound I-96, northbound I-275 will be reduced to one lane.

Drivers need to plan for frequent delays and consider alternative routes. Michigan State Police will be assisting in the frequent freeway closures.

This work is part of the Revive275 project. Based on economic modeling, this $270 million investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 3,429 jobs.  Project information can be found at Revive275.org.
