Please read carefully as this update contains multiple effective letting dates:

 

The following 2020 FUSP is being deleted, effective immediately, and replaced with 20SP-104-01, that will also take effect immediately:

20SP-104D-02 PREVAILING WAGE AND LABOR COMPLIANCE SYSTEM - Use in all Federal Aid Projects.

20SP-104D-01 PREVAILING WAGE AND LABOR COMPLIANCE SYSTEM - Use in all Federal Aid Projects.

  • A blanket addendum will be issued by Contract Services Division (CSD) for projects in the March 2023 letting.
  • Project Managers must ensure the updated FUSP is included for April 2023 letting projects and beyond.

The following 2020 FUSP is being added, beginning with the March 2023 letting:

20SP-104C-02 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT - Use in all projects. 

  • A blanket addendum will be issued by Contract Services Division (CSD) for projects in the March 2023 letting.
  • Project Managers must ensure the updated FUSP is included for April 2023 letting projects and beyond.

The following 2020 FUSPs are being added/updated, beginning with the May 2023 letting:

20SP-712E-01 BRIDGE DECK REMOVAL AND SALVAGING SHEAR DEVELOPERS ON STEEL BEAMS - Use on all projects with partial or complete deck replacement where the existing superstructure is steel and there are stud shear developers.  Do not use on bridges that are known to have coil or spiral shear developers.

20SP-706B-02 MECHANICALLY STABILIZED EARTH RETAINING WALL SYSTEM - Use in all projects utilizing MSE wall systems. 

The following 2020 FUSP's Use Statement have been updated, effective immediately:

20SP-501C-02 PRICE ADJUSTMENTS ON PERFORMANCE GRADE ASPHALT BINDER - Use in all Hot Mix Asphalt Trunkline projects.  Do not use in Local Agency projects.

20SP-706B-01 MECHANICALLY STABILIZED EARTH RETAINING WALL SYSTEM - For use through the April 2023 letting only.  Use in all projects utilizing MSE wall systems.
