M-1 (Woodward Avenue) project between M-102

(8 Mile Road) and I-696 begins soon in Oakland County

 

FERNDALE/PLEASANT RIDGE, Mich. - Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, lane closures will begin on M-1 (Woodward Avenue) between M-102 (8 Mile Road) and I-696. The 2022 work will include daytime and nighttime work to perform pavement repairs, curb replacement and sidewalk upgrades. This year's work is expected to be finished in November. 

In 2023, the project will continue with improvements on M-1, which will include sidewalk upgrades, drainage improvements, resurfacing on M-1, installation of bike lanes, and signal work.
