UPDATE- Overnight closure...
Wayland/Shelbyville- See map below.
This Monday night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., northbound and southbound US-131 will be reduced to one lane and traffic will exit and re-enter US-131 using the off and on ramps at M-179 (129th Avenue).
In partnership with the Gun Lake Tribe, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $26 million to rebuild the US-131/M-179 interchange and resurface US-131 from 120th Avenue to 133rd Avenue in Allegan County. The two-year project is underway and is scheduled to open to traffic in November 2022.
The work is weather dependent.
