I-96 median guardrail installation starts Monday in Ingham County

PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in investing $483,000 to install median guardrail on I-96 from South Hagadorn Road to the Okemos Rest Area.
SAFETY BENEFITS:
Installation and maintenance of guardrail helps improve the safety of our roadways. Closing lanes during this type of work is necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists and will expedite work on the project.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
There will be single-lane and shoulder closures. Motorists can expect delays and should seek alternate routes.
