M-61 resurfacing in Arenac and Bay counties starts May 18

PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $809,000 to resurface nearly 10 miles of M-61 from the Bay/Gladwin county line to the Standish west city limit in Arenac County.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
One lane will remain open using traffic regulators.
SAFETY BENEFITS:
This work improve the road surface and extend the life of the roadway.

This road construction project is an essential function. Transportation workers in the field follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines to limit their risk of getting sick.
