MDOT video pays tribute to Michigan's critical infrastructure workers
April 23, 2020 -- During these uncertain times, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) wants Michigan to know that our state's critical infrastructure workers are working safely. This includes clearing debris from roads, resolving flooding issues, patching potholes, and inspecting and making repairs. Wherever possible, construction projects are going on as scheduled. Crews are working with extra personal protective equipment and additional safety and cleaning protocols.
A new MDOT video commends the critical infrastructure workers who are working so that thousands of healthcare workers traveling to their double shifts at hospitals, truck drivers who haul our bread, milk, meat, and vegetables to the grocery store, and the people who stock the shelves can arrive safely at their jobs. Transportation workers do their jobs so all the other critical workers are able to do theirs.
MDOT also reminds motorists that work zones continue to need your undivided attention. Always slow down, pay attention and drive carefully in and around work zones.
