PROJECT:                          

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will resume construction on northbound I-475 in Genesee County. This work is part of a $44 million investment in substantial repairs to nearly 18 miles of I-475 in Genesee County, including rebuilding 3 miles of roadway and interchange improvements.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:                     

Beginning March 30, lane shifts will be in place on Saginaw Road to accommodate work on I-475. In accordance with MDOT and hot-mix asphalt industry requirements, remaining paving of northbound I-475 from Carpenter Road to Clio Road is expected to resume after May 5.

 

SAFETY BENEFITS:
This work will improve the road surface and drainage, while also improving safety with new signs and freeway lighting.
