I-94 culvert replacement in New Buffalo starts Monday

 

Wednesday, March 18 -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is set to start replacement of the Squaw Creek culvert under I-94 at the New Buffalo weigh stations in Berrien County.

The $10.3 million investment includes box culvert replacement, weigh station reconstruction, drainage upgrades, new signs and lighting, and pavement markings on I-94 at the eastbound and westbound weigh stations in New Buffalo.

Construction is set to start Monday, March 23, and completion is anticipated by Friday, Aug. 14. There will be two lanes of I-94 open to traffic in each direction throughout construction.
