U.P. roadside parks set to close for season

U.P. roadside parks set to close for season
October 23, 2019 -- All roadside parks operated by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in the Upper Peninsula will be closed for the season by Thursday, Oct. 31:
- The parks located in Keweenaw County will close on Friday, Oct. 25.
- The parks located in Alger, Luce, Chippewa and Schoolcraft counties will close on Monday, Oct. 28.
- The rest of the parks in the U.P. will close on Thursday, Oct. 31.
MDOT maintains 32 roadside parks in the U.P. They usually close in late October and reopen in mid- to late April.
