M-66 project near Lake Odessa

PROJECT DETAILS:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $11.4 million to resurface M-66 from M-50 north to I-96. The project also includes new concrete curb and gutter, joint replacements, new culverts, improved drainage, and new guardrail.
After the project started, poor soils and drainage issues impacted construction, making additional shoulder reconstruction and drainage work necessary. This changed the estimated end date of Aug. 31 to mid-October.

Southbound M-66 will remain open for the remainder of the project. Northbound M-66 will be closed and detoured west on M-50, north on Jordan Lake Road and east on Portland Road.
