TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
Traffic will be maintained with lane closures, shifts, and traffic regulators. Following the completion of the road diet, the following permanent lane configuration changes will remain:

  • M-29 north of Clinton Street to the city limits will have one lane in each direction with a dedicated center left-turn lane, and striped shoulders for nonmotorized traffic.
  • M-29 south of Clinton Street to Palmer Road will have one northbound lane, two southbound lanes, and a dedicated center left-turn lane.

This work is weather dependent.

SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS:

This road diet will improve traffic operations for both motorized and nonmotorized users, while also providing safety improvements typical of road diet implementation.
