PROJECT UPDATE

Lane closures for road repair will be in place 8 p.m. this Sunday through noon next Thursday on eastbound and westbound I-96 between Knox and Cutler roads. The on ramp from Grand River Avenue to eastbound I-96 (#77) will also be closed. Ramp detour: East on Grand River Ave, east on Grand River Highway and then north on Grange Road to eastbound I-96 (#84). Work will take place at night but the closures will remain in place through Thursday for concrete curing.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $3.9 million to remove and replace the original Cutler Road bridge over I-96, and $5.5 million to repair and resurface 9.5 miles of I-96 from Sunfield Road to the Ionia/Clinton county line.

Cutler Road over I-96 remains closed and detoured for bridge replacement through mid-October. Detour: Cutler Road traffic will be detoured on Grand River Avenue, Peake Road and Monroe Avenue.
The work is weather dependent.
