Michigan Rail Conference coming in August 

WHAT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Michigan Technological University Rail Transportation Program, Michigan State University, Michigan Railroads Association, and other industry partners are hosting the annual Michigan Rail Conference in August, hashtag #MIRailConference. 

The keynote speaker will be Ronald Batory, administrator for the Federal Railroad Administration. Derek Taylor, vice president of the Southern Region for Canadian National Railroad, will give the conference opening speech.

Students interested in rail careers also are invited to attend. The Conference Organizing Committee is offering students a limited number of scholarships to cover the conference registration and field trip fees.

  • Railroad crossing safety
  • Railway suppliers
  • Passenger rail system
  • International connections
  • Local opportunities and impacts.
