M-95 chip sealing starts May 13

PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $660,000 to chip seal 6.3 miles of M-95 from south of Marquette County Road LLK to US-41 in Marquette County. The work includes crack sealing, gravel shoulder repair and pavement markings.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
The project will require single-lane closures under flag control.
SAFETY BENEFITS:
This project involves sealing the existing pavement, which will reduce further pavement cracking while also providing increased surface friction. Gravel shoulder repairs will increase safety and improve drainage.
