PROJECT DETAILS:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $3.9 million to remove and replace the original Cutler Road bridge over I-96, and $5.5 million to repair and resurface 9.5 miles of I-96 from Sunfield Road to the Ionia/Clinton county line.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:
Cutler Road will be closed over I-96. Single-lane closures and traffic shifts will be in effect on I-96 for most of the project. I-96 will be closed and detoured for two weekends for bridge demolition and beam setting. I-96 is scheduled to close for bridge demolition 10 p.m. Friday, April 26, through 10 a.m. the following Sunday. Ramps within the project limits will be closed and detoured intermittently for resurfacing.
I-96 traffic will be detoured on M-43, M-66 and Grand River Avenue. Cutler Road traffic will be detoured on Grand River Avenue, Peake Road and Monroe Avenue.
