Traffic alert: Lane closures for US-2 repairs in Bessemer
March 20, 2019 -- Drivers traveling through Bessemer on US-2 should expect lane closures for pothole repairs.
The outside lanes of US-2 are closed from 300 feet west of North Fairview Street to Tamarack Avenue in Bessemer until extensive pothole damage can be patched.
Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be working to make temporary pavement repairs. The work is weather dependent and may take up to two weeks to complete.
MDOT asks motorists to drive cautiously in the area.
