TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
Westbound South Street will be closed during the structure repair work and will be detoured from Cedar Street to Columbia Road, then College Road. Eastbound South Street will remain open.
Motorists can expect intermittent daytime single-lane closures on US-127. Southbound US-127 will be closed at South Street intermittently between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.
SAFETY BENEFITS:
This detour is to accommodate construction work on the bridge, which allows the work to be done safely and effectively. Closing lanes during these kinds of repairs is necessary to provide the safety work area possible for crews and motorists.
