M-61 maintenance resurfacing in Gladwin County starts Sept. 24

PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $880,000 to resurface 10 miles of M-61 from M-30 to the Gladwin/Bay county line. Work includes a microsurface pavement application, pavement markings, and guardrail improvements.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
Traffic will be maintained with single-lane closures and flag control. This work is weather dependent.
SAFETY BENEFITS:
This work will improve the road surface and guardrail and extend the life of the roadway.
