Old M-14 (Ann Arbor Road)/McClumpha Road intersection improvements start July 9 in Plymouth Township

PROJECT DETAILS: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $543,000 in safety improvements to the Old M-14 (Ann Arbor Road)/McClumpha Road intersection in Plymouth Township. Work will include milling and resurfacing, along with widening the pavement in all four directions of the intersection and adding dedicated left-turn lanes in all directions.
The project also includes new pavement markings and upgrading sidewalk ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

TRAFFIC DETAILS: During construction, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times on Old M-14 (Ann Arbor Road) and one direction of traffic will be maintained on McClumpha Road while the other direction will be detoured.
SAFETY BENEFITS: Traffic safety will be improved for drivers and pedestrians with a wider area for turns and a dedicated left-turn lane for each direction.
