PROJECT: Due to several high-load hits on the bridge this year, MDOT is developing plans to replace the bridge and upgrade the interchange. This is part of the project planning and development process for selecting a long-term improvement project. This location has also been identified as a priority for the US-131 corridor in Kent County, as part of a Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study. Once the PEL study process is completed for this interchange, the project will advance into the design phase and construction once funding has been identified.
