M-15 center left-turn lane construction in Davison Township starts June 4

PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $1.8 million to widen M-15 from Bristol Road to south of Kitchen Road, adding a center left-turn lane and resurfacing 0.6 miles of the roadway.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
This work will require overnight flag control between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. while crews widen the west side of M-15. Following the initial widening, one lane will be open in each direction while crews address the east side of M-15 during daytime hours. Overnight single-lane closures will be required during the final phase the project for resurfacing.
SAFETY BENEFITS:
This work involves installing a center left-turn lane, allowing easier access to residential and commercial properties, reducing crashes during left-turn movements, and helping to mitigate congestion.
