NB 75 Rouge Downriver ramp closures & traffic shift

Northbound I-75 pavement repairs require traffic shifts and closed ramps in Wayne County

(Southbound I-75 remains closed from Springwells Street to US-24 through November)

PROJECT DETAILS:

Phase II of the I-75 Rouge River: Detroit-Downriver Connection project is on schedule, with work continuing on the 11 Downriver bridges along with the Rouge River bridge. The next step is to perform pavement repairs on northbound I-75 from Northline Road to Schaefer Road. This work requires shifting northbound I-75 traffic across the median onto the closed southbound I-75 lanes. This traffic shift will be in place for approximately two weeks while areas of northbound concrete are removed and the replacement concrete cures.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:

Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, June 1, northbound traffic will be shifted onto the southbound lanes and will remain on that side until the first exit at Livernois Road in southwest Detroit.

 

Due to the traffic shift, ramp access is unavailable. The last entrance ramp to northbound I-75 will be Sibley Road with the next entrance ramp at Livernois Road. The last exit ramp from northbound I-75 is Northline Road with the next exit ramp at Livernois Road.

 

Southbound I-75 remains closed from Springwells Street in southwest Detroit to the US-24 (Telegraph Road) connector in Taylor through November.
