Future of M-43 corridor in Kalamazoo is the

subject of an MDOT visioning open house

 

WHAT:

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is holding an open house to get feedback on a corridor analysis of M-43 (West Main Street) between 10th Street and Drake Road in Kalamazoo to develop concepts for roadway and operations improvements.

BACKGROUND:

MDOT is leading this visioning session with an eye toward future projects and corridor optimization between 10th Street and Drake Road. There currently are no projects planned but as growth continues along the M-43 corridor in Kalamazoo, MDOT is looking for input from stakeholders and developers to help develop concepts for roadway and operations improvements along the corridor.

 

Maps of the corridor area will be available for guests to mark with comments, and stakeholders will be asked to provide input on their experiences with issues along the corridor. There will be some conceptual ideas presented to help guide stakeholders.
