Public meeting in Zeeland for

I-196 BL project

WHAT:

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a project meeting to review plans for this year's reconstruction and reconfiguration of the I-196 Business Loop (BL) in Zeeland. MDOT officials will provide project details, scheduling and traffic information. The public is invited to stop by anytime during the meeting to learn more about the project and provide comments.

PROJECT:

Work includes reconstructing and realigning the I-196 BL/M-121 (Chicago Drive) intersection, drainage upgrades, new traffic signals, and extending 84th Avenue south to create a new intersection at I-196 BL. The westbound I-196 ramp to I-196 BL will also be reconstructed and realigned. This project will improve traffic mobility, increase safety and extend the service life of the roadway.
