Traffic advisory: Height and width restrictions on
International Bridge
May 11, 2017 -- Due to an upcoming painting project on the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge, height and width restrictions will be imposed.
From May 15 to Oct. 31, the maximum height allowed for vehicles crossing the bridge will be restricted to 13 feet, 6 inches. The maximum width allowed for vehicles will also be restricted to 13 feet, 6 inches.
One lane of traffic will be closed on the arch due to scaffolding and paint containment set-up, resulting in the width and height restrictions on the active lane. Restrictions on both U.S. and Canadian-bound traffic will be in place at all times during the work period.
