Reminder: MDOT to host public meeting to   discuss

upcoming M-10 project in Detroit

 

WHAT:

An open   house-style public meeting to provide an overview of a project to replace the   Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Boulevard bridge over M-10 (John C. Lodge) and   widening the M-10 southbound exit to Grand River Avenue. Interested parties   will have the opportunity to review project details, locations, detours, and   additional details, as well as have an opportunity to ask questions.

BACKGROUND:

The MLK Boulevard   bridge over M-10 will be replaced with a longer bridge to accommodate the   widening of the southbound M-10 exit to Grand River Avenue. The project also   includes a change in the traffic pattern of the southbound M-10 service drive   between MLK Boulevard and Noble Street, closing the southbound M-10 service   drive between Noble Street and Grand River Avenue, building a retaining wall,   and relocating utilities. The $15 million project is expected to begin in   late March and be completed in December.
