State-owned property in seven counties available by sealed-bid auction
through Dec. 2


The Michigan Department of Natural Resources currently is offering 11 state-owned properties in seven counties for sale by sealed-bid auction at
www.michigan.gov/landforsale. The auction began Nov. 5 and will run through Dec. 2, 2014.

This auction includes properties that were listed on the DNR calendar for approval in 2014 in the following counties: Alpena, Cheboygan, Clare, Isabella, Midland, Montmorency and Presque Isle.

Unsold properties from the previous live auction held Oct. 17, 2014, in Big Rapids have been relisted for sale on the DNR Buy Now list at www.michigan.gov/landforsale

Most of the properties were acquired by tax reversion. They do not meet the current recreation and resource management goals of the department. Proceeds from sale provide future outdoor recreation opportunities in keeping with the mission of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
