DNR to hold public update meeting Nov. 20 on VASA network of pathways

The Department of Natural Resources' Parks and Recreation Division will host a public update meeting Thursday, Nov. 20, regarding winter use (skiing and fat-tire biking) on the VASA network of pathways located near Traverse City, Michigan. This meeting will take place 6-7 p.m. at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center Meeting Room, 1213 West Civic Center Drive, in Traverse City.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide followup information on work completed by the DNR and a group of skiers/fat-tire bike enthusiasts in creating 15 kilometers of new, nonmotorized trail as part of the VASA network of pathways. This new trail will be located off of the VASA Single Track trailhead located along Supply Road. The public is invited to learn about and celebrate this new trail.

Please contact Tim Schreiner at 231-775-9727 for further information.
