Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park reopens

Department of Natural Resources officials today announced that the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park has been reopened. Portions of the trail (which runs from Comstock Park to Cadillac) had been temporarily closed due to downed trees, flooding and debris from recent severe storms.

The DNR encourages trail users to exercise caution when using any section of the 92-mile-long trail, since water may still exist in lower areas as local creeks, streams and rivers receded.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state’s natural and cultural resources for current and future generations. For more information, go to www.michigan.gov/dnr.
