Discount offered on online snowmobile safety course

Fresh Air Ed, one of the DNR's snowmobile safety education partners, is offering a discount this week only on its online course. Now through Jan. 26, you can take this online course and save 33 percent on the course fee. The promotion is in honor of National Snowmobile Safety Week.

In Michigan all operators who are at least 12 years of age and under 17 years of age are required to take a Michigan-approved snowmobile safety course and obtain a snowmobile safety certificate when riding on public lands. In addition, some insurers give a discount on snowmobile insurance if you have taken an approved snowmobile safety course.
