PRESS CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT 1 P.M. TODAY TO PROVIDE UPDATES ON DUCK LAKE FIRE IN LUCE COUNTY

 

WHO: The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, together with the Luce County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Luce County Emergency Management.

 

WHAT: Updates on Duck Lake Fire in Luce County. This is a lightning strike-caused fire in an area where access is difficult. Detection and initial attack occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23. The fire was estimated today at 21,114 acres.

 

WHEN: May 26, 2012 at 1 p.m.
