Mackinac Bridge closes to vehicle traffic Monday, Sept. 1, 6:30 a.m. to noon
Because you'll be departing from or arriving for your camping trip on Labor Day, please keep in mind that the Mackinac Bridge Authority will close the Mackinac Bridge to vehicle traffic for participants' safety Monday, Sept. 1, from 6:30 a.m. to noon for the Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk.
If you're looking for an activity to fill that time, the Mackinac Bridge Walk is FREE and doesn't require registration. There's also lots to do on both sides of the bridge, such as visiting Mackinaw City in the Lower Peninsula or exploring St. Ignace in the Upper Peninsula.
