Saturday, March 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mitchell State Park in Cadillac
Ready to hit the trails and camp under the stars with your equine partner? In this exciting, hands-on dive into Michigan’s beautiful equestrian trail system and campgrounds, we'll walk you through the planning process for your next trail ride and camping trip, showing you how to make the most of the trail maps and find the best spots to ride and relax.
And roll up your sleeves to practice different equine containment techniques – we’ll have some fun, interactive demos to try out. Plus, you'll have the chance to chat with a practicing veterinarian about your horse’s health and ask all those burning questions.
Whether you're a seasoned trail rider or just starting out, this is a great opportunity to meet fellow riders, share experiences and build connections in the equestrian community.
Cost is $25 and includes a box lunch and goodie bag.

Saturday, April 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Outdoor Adventure Center in Detroit
The walleye run in Lake Erie and the Detroit River is known worldwide! In this informative and hands-on fishing program, you’ll learn how to select equipment and set up poles, plus techniques for shore fishing and walleye fishing regulations. This clinic includes time fishing along the Detroit River.
Participants must be age 12 or older. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A fishing license is required for adults age 17 and older. You can purchase your fishing license at Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses or at DNR license retailers.
Cost is $30 per person.
