Unearthing Fayette's Stories

On view at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum in Negaunee. Fayette Historic State Park is rich with objects beneath its surface, and numerous archaeological investigations of the historic town site help us learn about the people who once lived there. This exhibit displays artifacts that breathe life into the people who lived, worked, and played in the nineteenth century industrial iron smelting town. The exhibit also features an interactive that encourages visitors to think about how our stories will be shaped based on what we leave behind today.
