A white-tailed deer runs away from the camera through a grassy field and the white tail moves back and forth.

After your successful firearm hunt, don’t forget to report your 2021 deer harvest online. All data collected helps the Michigan Department Natural Resources to manage the state's deer population. Reporting your deer is optional, but highly encouraged.

When you report your harvest, you’ll be asked to give your hunting license number, date of birth, deer season (archery, firearm, etc.), date of harvest, county and deer management unit where you harvested your deer, whether you harvested an antlered or antlerless deer, number of antler points and location where the deer was harvested. The location information is kept private and used for statistical purposes only.

This video will walk you through the simple steps to report your deer harvest online. You can report your harvest at Michigan.gov/DNRHarvestReport.

Deer patches will not be mailed to those who submit harvest reports online, but you can take your online harvest report confirmation number to a deer check station to get your patch while supplies last.
