If you have run out of reading material in recent weeks, check out the 2020 Wildlife Division Annual Report. The report details important work the Department of Natural Resources and its partners have accomplished for Michigan’s wildlife – and the people who enjoy wildlife-related recreation – from Oct. 1, 2019, to Sept. 30, 2020.
Despite the challenges of the past year, the DNR Wildlife Division conducted successful hunt drawings and lotteries on a new licensing system, created an extensive suite of deer regulations, modified safety procedures at deer, furbearer, bear and waterfowl check stations to ensure the health and safety of staff and hunters, and welcomed our new division chief, Jared Duquette.
