Dear Stakeholder,

Thank you for continuing to work with us to update the strategy for nearly 4.6 million acres of state forests, parks, trails, game and wildlife areas, and other resources.

We want to remind you that a comprehensive draft of the DNR’s public land strategy, which incorporates input we received from stakeholders and the public this past fall, is now available for review at Michigan.gov/PublicLands.

Input on the draft strategy can be shared through an online survey or via email to DNR-LandStrategy@Michigan.gov through Friday, Feb. 12.

Your continued participation in the land strategy update process is important. While the DNR is privileged to manage these natural and cultural resources, they truly belong to the people of Michigan. We want to make sure the strategy addresses the interests and concerns of stakeholders like you and many others statewide.

Input on the draft will be incorporated, as appropriate, in development of a final land strategy, which will be submitted to the Legislature by July 1.

As a reminder, for those of you who serve as the chair on a board or advisory council, please be sure to share our email communications with your fellow board or council members.

Thank you.
