COVID-19 Closure Update

Exterior of the Michigan History Center building

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Gov. Whitmer's order to extend work from home for state employees through Jan. 2, 2021, the Michigan History Museum in Lansing, the Michigan Iron Industry Museum in Negaunee and the Archives of Michigan in Lansing will remain closed to the public at least through Jan. 2, 2021. We will provide updates as new information becomes available.

Archives of Michigan offers virtual reference services

Although the reading room at the Archives of Michigan remains closed, the archives team is providing research assistance by phone at 517-335-2576 and email at Archives@Michigan.gov. You can also request a free virtual appointment.
