Michigan History Center postpones two March public programs; museum and archives remain open.

March 12, 2020

Due to the rapidly evolving circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and to ensure we are taking every step we can to mitigate the spread of the virus and keep Michiganders safe, the Michigan History Center is canceling two public programs scheduled this month in Lansing.

Per the Interim Recommendations to Mitigate the Spread of COVID-19 released by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Department of Health and Human Services on March 11, 2020, the Center will "cancel or postpone large gatherings, conferences, and sporting events (e.g., greater than
100 people in a shared space)." Specifically:

At this time, the Michigan History Museum and Archives of Michigan in Lansing will remain open to the public for regular visitation. We will communicate any changes to our schedule via email, the museum website, the archives website and our main phone line at 517-335-2573.
