Today is the last day you can apply for your antlerless deer license

It’s the last day to apply for antlerless deer licenses AND last day to grab a junior antlerless license over-the-counter! The antlerless application period runs annually from July 15 to Aug 15.  View the 2018 antlerless quotas to help you decide on whether to apply or not. Some DMUs have unlimited antlerless licenses, therefore applying is not needed because you will be able to purchase licenses over-the-counter. 

On September 4th, drawing results are posted and licenses go on sale for those who were successful in the drawing.  On September 10th, all remaining antlerless licenses go on sale at 10 am, including for DMUs with unlimited availability.

The first deer season of 2018 is the September 22-23 weekend where two hunts will be taking place. The early antlerless season in select counties, on private land only and the Liberty Hunt, statewide on public and private land for youth 16 and younger, and eligible hunters with disabilities.

Antlerless deer license applications are available through today, Aug. 15. Visit mi.gov/deer for more info or to apply. Applications are not needed for CWD areas, as licenses will be sold over the counter.

Licenses for elk, bear, antlerless deer, spring and fall turkey, and first pick at a managed waterfowl area could be yours, along with a $4,000 hunting prize pack. Visit mi.gov/pmh for more info or to apply.
Apply for reserved waterfowl

Waterfowl reserved hunt applications are available through Tuesday, Aug. 28. Reserved hunts will be held both mornings and afternoons of the opening weekend. Visit mi.gov/waterfowl or see below for more info.

To receive hunting application reminders via text message, text, "MIDNR HUNTAPP" to "64468." You will receive an application reminder the day they go on sale, midway through the application period, and on the last day they're available. You will also receive a text when application results have been posted.
