Pontiac Lake shooting range closed July 23-Aug. 1, Aug. 13-29

The Department of Natural Resources Pontiac Lake shooting range will be closed July 23-Aug. 1 and again Aug. 13-29 to complete construction of five additional handgun shooting stations, bringing a total of ten handgun stations to the range. Work also will include replacing the front beams on the handgun range eyebrow and installing new beams to replace the existing, damaged beams.

Nearby DNR shooting ranges at Ortonville, Bald Mountain and Island Lake recreation areas will be open during this time.
