Free fishing, off-road riding & park entry this June 9 & 10

You're invited out for this year's Free Fishing Weekend, Free ORV Weekend and free entry into Michigan state parks this Saturday and Sunday (June 9 & 10) as part of the 2018 "Three Free" Weekend!

Grab your fishing gear, head out to the state's off-road trails, or enjoy a day at your favorite Michigan state park - all for free! All fishing license, ORV license, trail permit and Recreation Passport fees are waived both days, but all other regulations still apply.

Really want to go fishing? Official Free Fishing Weekend events have been planned throughout the state, below is a sampling of those scheduled to occur: 

  • Fishing classes at Yankee Springs Recreation Area in Middleville (June 9 at 2 pm)
  • Free Fishing Derby at South Higgins Lake State Park in Roscommon (June 9 at 10 am)
  • Free Fishing Weekend Kids Derby at Young State Park in Charlevoix (June 9 at 10 am)
  • Go Fish! at Marshbank Park in West Bloomfield Township (June 10 at 4 pm)
  • Kids Fishing Day at Henry Lake in the Ottawa National Forest (June 9 at 7 am)
  • Ray Park Foundation Kids' Fishing Derby at Whistlestop Park in Byron Center (June 9 at 9 am)
