Bay City State Park to temporarily close entrance road Tuesday or Wednesday

A one-day closure to the entrance road to Bay City State Park, in Bay County, will take place this week for needed road repairs.

The closure is slated to take place either Tuesday, May 1, or Wednesday, May 2. As a result, vehicle access to the park will not be available in the parking lot that day. Alternatively, there is limited parking available in the service center lot. Visitors will have to walk across the street and walk down the entrance road.

Those planning to visit the park are encouraged to visit michigan.gov/dnrclosures for updates on the one-day closure. Additional information on closures and detours at DNR facilities, including state trails, boat launches, parks and campgrounds, also are listed on this page.

For more information, contact Brian Dunn, supervisor at Bay City State Park, at 989-684-3020.
